Follow the instructions below for the materials that must be submitted for a particular assignment.
Draw schematics and stick diagrams on paper, then scan and paste them into a single document. Problems must be in order and clearly labeled.
Upload all *.mag and *.cmd files used for your designs by making a tar file using this procedure or another similar one that gives the same results. It must be possible to un-tar the tar file, bring up your design in magic, and directly extract and simulate the design from the tar'd directory. To make these instructions simpler, "YLN" represents your own last name (e.g., "mkdir YLN" = "mkdir smith").
mkdir YLN
cp *.mag *.cmd YLN/
tar cvf YNL.tar YLN
Upload YNL.tar to canvas.
Follow this procedure:
Create an irsim analyzer window with: a) clock at the top, b) block inputs below that, c) important internal signals below them, d) block outputs below them.
Make as many screenshots as necessary to show the functionality so the correct operation can be plainly seen.
Paste the analyzer waveform screenshot(s) into your pdf file with the correct problem.
Unless told otherwise, you should upload at most two files:
A single pdf file containing schematics, stick diagrams, and irsim analyzer waveforms. Problems must be in order and clearly labeled.
A single tar file YLN.tar containing your .mag files, .cmd command test file, and nothing more.
