Professor Soheil Ghiasi leads a team for $1.3M funded by the Department of Education’s Graduate Assistance in the Areas of National Need (GAANN)

ECE graduate program has received $1.3M grant award to enhance activities and training of PhD students in critical areas of national need. The project, led by Professor Soheil Ghiasi, is primarily funded by the Department of Education’s Graduate Assistance in the Areas of National Need (GAANN) program, and supplemental support will be provided via UC-Davis institutional resources. Through this project, ECE graduate program plans to offer GAANN fellows, a pool of incoming domestic PhD students with strong records, full financial support and quality doctoral education spanning both research and teaching training in emerging areas of ECE.
