Brief Biography

Shifu Wu (吴世福 in Chinese) is now a Ph.D. candidate in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Davis, affliated with VLSI Computation Lab, under the advice of Professor Bevan Baas. Mr. Wu received B.E. degree in Electronic Information Engineering from University of Science and Technology of China in 2014. Since 2014, he has been pursuing his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Davis, where he received M.S. degree in 2016.

Mr. Wu's Ph.D. research is mainly focus on ASIC design of Display Stream Compression (DSC) high-performance real-time video encoding and decoding chips, targeting at ultra-high-definition, such as 4K and 8K.
