Saturday lab sections are from 10:00 am to 6:00pm in room 2110 every Saturday. This is an open lab section. It is NOT an alternative to your regular lab section!!! It is simply a time to finish up your experiment if you need more than the four hours allotted during the week.In order to attend the Saturday lab, you must attend your regular lab section, or another weekly lab section (with your TA's persmission). If you are unable to complete the lab in the time allotted, talk to your TA. The TA will sign your cover sheet, indicating the portions of the lab that have been completed, and that permission has been obtained to attend Saturday lab. Email must then be sent to the Saturday TA to make the necessary arrangements.
Again, you may not attend the Saturday lab section unless you've attended another weekly lab section that week!! If you need to miss your regular lab section, due to some extenuating circustance, you must contact your TA and make arrangements to attend another regular lab section (Monday through Friday). You will NOT be allowed to go to Saturday's lab section.
If you have gone to your regular lab and obtained permission, this is how Saturday section works:1) Contact the Saturday TA via email. Give an approximate time that you will attend Saturday lab.
2) The doors to the lab are opened at 10:00am
3) The TA checks into the lab often to check progress. Essentially, he is on call, but will not be there the entire time.
4) You are expected to work independently (no collaboration will be allowed).
5) When you have finished up, contact the TA to have your circuit inspected and signed off. The TA will be in his office (3120 EUII) or can be reached via email. You must have your cover sheet, with a note from your regular TA, to receive your final signature.
6) If you are having trouble and need help, you may also contact the TA.
7) The lab will be closed at 6:00pm
