Welcome to my homepage!
I am a Ph.D. candidate in department of Electical & Computer Engineering at University of California, Davis.
I am also a graduate student researcher at Laboratory for Embedded and Programmable Systems (LEPS) under the supervision of Dr. Soheil Ghiasi.
My research focus is in exploring embedded systems in addressing mission critical and real-time problems. Specifically, I am interested in utilizing FPGAs in providing solutions for network traffic measurement and inspection problem. Please check my research page for further details.
I have also worked in synthesis and optimization of digital systems. My past research included developing algorithms and CAD tools for synthesis of finite state machines for area, power and testability.
Prior to joining UC Davis, I worked briefly as a hardware design engineer for Digitek Engineering. A summary of my work there can be found here.
I completed my Masters of Science in Computer Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Mineals where I was associated with Dr. Aiman El-Maleh and Dr. Sadiq M. Sait in my MSc. research work.
I did my undergraduate in Computer Systems Engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology in 2001.
