Hi!

I am a Senior Research Scientist at Autodesk Research in Toronto, Canada and a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Davis under the supervision of prof. John D. Owens. My research interests involve research topics in parallel computing, geometry processing, and computer graphics with a focus on closing the gap between high-performance and ease-of-use. I received M.Sc. from the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the University of California, Davis July 2020 and B.Sc from Alexandria University, Egypt June 2013.

I interned twice at Autodesk Research from June to December 2019 and July to November 2020 where I worked on accelerating voxel-based computations on multi-GPU. I also had a summer research internship in Visual Computing Research Center at Shenzhen University, China during summer 2018 and was supervised by prof. Hui Huang. During this period, I worked on the development of outdoor autonomous robot exploration techniques using ideas from computer graphics. In Summer 2017, I worked on speeding up the GPU parallel computation of a special kind of sparse matrix multiplication used in Trilinos package.
