Instructional Facilities
The John D. Kemper Hall of Engineering opened in March 1993 as the Engineering II building and was dedicated as Kemper Hall in the Spring of 2003. It houses the College of Engineering Office Complex, the Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science departments, and the Materials Science unit.
The facility features:

Undergraduate Computer Laboratories
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering maintains five undergraduate computer laboratories to support its instructional programs. Instructional materials for many of the ECE courses are made available on the world-wide web (WWW) and can be accessed from workstations in the instructional labs, from personal computers on the campus network or by dial-in to the campus network.
Two of the laboratories are equipped with PCs configured for computer aided design with Altera, ViewLogic and Xilinx design tools that allow undergraduate students to do rapid proto-typing of digital hardware designs.

Undergraduate Instrumentation Laboratories
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering maintains seven undergraduate instrumentation laboratories to support its instructional programs. These labs have a total of 82 bench positions, typically equipped with a digital oscilloscope, waveform generator, pulse generator, power supply, and a digital multi-meter.
