Natcar is a design contest created and sponsored by UC Davis and National Semiconductor. Teams design, build and race autonomous cars on a track marked by white floor tape. In addition, there is a wire under the tape that has a 100 mA_RMS 75 kHz sinusoidal current flowing in it.

The contest is intended for undergraduate students, but teams with graduate students and/or high-school students may attend the competition, although they may not be allowed to compete.
