The rules have been changed. Specifically, we now specify that the battery must be a NiCd (to avoid people buying those REALLY expensive exotic batteries). We also explicitly include DC-to-DC converter modules along with commercial speed control units in the list of prohibited items. The tolerance on the current in the course has been reduced to +/- 10% since we are always at least that good.
