Research Activities

Investigated the use of novel CMOS-based microwave and millimeter wave technologies in developing high performance phased array antenna (PAA) based transceiver systems

  • Designed, implemented and characterized an 11-channel Ka-band CMOS-based Phased Array Antenna Transmitter System. The system includes the following components:
        • 26-40 GHz CMOS (TSMC 0.18 μm) Wideband Feedback Amplifier
        • 10-40 GHz CMOS (TSMC 0.18 μm) SPDT Switch
        • Ka-Band & 60 GHz PCB Rotman Lens
        • Ka-Band & 60 GHz Slot Dual Dipole Antenna Array with Mini-lens
  • Designed a 24 GHz CMOS (IBM 0.13 μm) LNA
  • Investigated Slow Wave Structure
