Grading: Letter; midterm, final, and design projects.
Theory and practice of VLSI circuit and system design. Extensive use of VLSI computer-aided design aids allows students to undertake a VLSI design example.

Engineering Design Statement:
This course is organized around a large open-ended design project in which the students undertake the complete electrical design and complete layout design of an integrated circuit.
